Instructions for the Remote Control Unit

1) Mount strips in desired locations.
The Skinny'z come with 2 wires on both ends of the
Skinny, if only using one side of the Skinny'z wire
(example -gas tank application) cut off one end of the
wire approximately 1.5 inch from the Skinny strip, and
then separate the positive and negative wires. Then, cut
the negative wire a little shorter, to make certain the
wires are not the same length (so they do not contact
each other), then cut a small piece of supplied heat
shrink and apply over the shortened wires. Then apply
light heat to seal the wire from damage. Make sure that
shortened wire is hidden out of the way when finished.
2) Run all positive wires towards battery location &
combine together. Strip wires and leave 1/4" of copper
strand.
3) Run all negative wires towards battery location &
combine together. Strip wires and leave 1/4" of copper
strand.
4) Run the copper strands through the small end of the
plastic insert and out the larger end. Bend the strands
over the insert approximately 1/16th inch (on each side
of insert).
5) Plug insert tightly into
remote control pod controller.
Make sure that you plug it into the side that says
“pods” and make sure that the positive (red) wire is
plugged into the control pod with the (+) and the
negative wire is plugged into the control pod with the
(-).
6) On the control pod controller that says “12v”, attach
a wire to this side, approximately 6" - 12" in length.
Strip wires and run into black insert (like step #
4) and push insert tightly into “12v” side of the remote
control pod controller.
7) Attach the “negative” wire directly to your 12 volt
negative source, then attach the “positive” wire
directly to your 12 volt positive source.
8) Your Skinny'z strips should now come on. Hold your
remote control button down until the
Skinny'z strips flash (3 fast times) and your system is
programmed and ready to use!

Instructions for the Toggle Switch

1)Mount strips in desired locations.
The Skinny'z come with 2 wires on both ends of the
Skinny. If only using one side of the Skinny'z wire
(example -gas tank application), cut off one end of the
wires approximately 1.5 inch from the Skinny’z strip.
Separate the positive and negative wires, and then cut
the negative wire a little shorter, to make certain the
wires are not the same length (so they do not contact
each other). Cut a small piece of supplied heat shrink
and apply over the shortened wires, and then apply light
heat to seal the wire from damage. Make sure that
shortened wire is hidden and out of the way when
finished.
2) Run all positive wires towards battery location and
combine together. Strip wire leaving 1/16” of copper
strand.
3) Run all negative wires towards battery location and
combine together. Attach directly to negative side of 12
volt power source.
4)Run all positive wires together and strip ends, then
attach into one side of supplied red barrel connector
and crimp with wire crimpers.
5) Choose desired location for toggle switch (usually
mounts under seat on the left side) and then mount
toggle switch.
6) Attach one end of toggle wire to the red barrel
connector from the Skinny’z strips and then attach a
supplied red barrel connector to the other wire from the
toggle switch.
7) Locate the red fuse holder, then cut the wire loop
directly in half. Strip ends and attach one end of the
wire to the red barrel connector from the toggle
switch.
8) Attach the other end to the 12 volt positive power
source.
9) Insert fuse into fuse holder. You are now finished!
Turn strips on and off with toggle button.
